Yes. Petrol and diesel cars are banned in Zermatt. Visitors park at the Matterhorn Terminal in Täsch and take the 12-minute shuttle train. Inside the village, small electric taxis and hotel shuttles handle transport.

How do I reach Zermatt from Zurich or Geneva?

By train in both cases: about 3.5 hours from Zurich Airport and about 4 hours from Geneva Airport, each with one easy change at Visp onto the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.

Yes. The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise area offers skiing 365 days a year — it is Europe's largest summer ski area.
